In the Garden: February

- A seasonal series within Notes on Interiors -

Introducing our In the Garden series — where I’ll be sharing seasonal thoughts and what we’re growing in the Kylie Nicole Studio garden.

February has become one of my favorite months in the garden. It’s a month that feels unrushed — starting seeds for spring planting, rainy mornings, and weekend trips to the farmer’s market.

In our garden, we’re planting and harvesting late winter and early spring vegetables — like peas, cabbage, radishes, leeks, carrots, turnips, and lettuces. There is something so grounding about working with what this season naturally offers.

I’ve always been drawn to gardens that feel just as intentional as interiors. Spaces shaped by structure and proportion, designed with longevity in mind rather than instant fullness.

In preparing for spring, February becomes less about expansion and more about refinement — doing fewer things, but doing them thoughtfully. Noticing what needs attention, allowing ideas to develop, and trusting that what’s planted now will grow in the weeks to come.

Here’s to patient planning, and the work that sets the tone for the season ahead.
