In the Garden: October

October in the garden felt a little like spring.

There are new things growing everywhere right now — carrot seedlings coming up, cosmos getting ready to bloom, our first peas of the season, and red kuri squash plants beginning to grow. The new fall tomato plants are flowering, too, and there is something new to check on each time we step into the garden.

While September was still holding onto summer, October brought a fresh start of sorts. More seeds going in, new plants getting settled, and the beginning of another growing season. It's always exciting to see what takes hold and what we'll be picking in the months ahead.

A few moments from the garden this past month, along with everything we're growing.
